Transfer update: Adebayor hitch
Emmanuel Adebayor’s West Ham medical – scheduled for this morning – has been delayed and won’t happen until possibly Sunday.
Claret and Hugh columnist EXWHUEmployee, broke the news last night the striker looked set for a season-long loan with us.
Spurs have shifted their position from January when they wanted us to foot his entire £100,000 wage bill and have now reportedly agreed to subsidise his wages.
It is understood that the striker was set to attend a medical at the Spire Roding Hospital this Friday morning ahead of a possible loan deal although ClaretandHugh was told a few minutes ago that as not now the case.
No details of why the arrangement has been put on hold have been given at this stage but it’s hoped that it will now go ahead on Sunday.
A previous deal involving the player collapsed when he appeared to be on the move to Aston Villa before it was reported he wanted to remain in London.
A Hammers source told us a few minutes ago: ” A deal may be on the for the player and there were plans for a morning medical today.
“However, because of unforseen circumstances that has now been cancelled and it will hopefully go ahead on Sunday.”
