Then WE have to come to an agreement over the remainder of his contract. That's the tricky part.
 
Give them him for free and the 5 million they save from that, they can use for his new contract. Happy fudging days.
 
Will be frustrating for sure when we see Adebayor pull on a Villa shirt and look like the player we first had when he moved to Spurs. But then he's always done this wherever he goes

Eh......don't think he was gonna go for anything other than free. If we do get a fee it is only going straight to Ade as part of his (most depressing) pay-off.

Surely a loan with them paying all his wages is best. BUT maybe Villa are jittery with that when January comes and Ade can pre sign a perm deal with anyone.??

Nah, I remember Van der vaart talking about Harry's managerial style and saying how he'd practically see Adebayor growing taller as Harry was talking to him before a match saying he was unstoppable and was easily going to score a couple.

It is an indisputable fact that Ade started last season as our main striker. Besides he is on £100K a week making him the highest paid player in our history, if he cannot "man up" he needs to feck off

He's a disgrace and I really hope he gets out of our club soon.
 
Would not surprise me that Adebayor wants a loyalty bonus from his final years contract, and this is what is holding up the deal. Something similar happened twice I believe, when he first joined and then when he sat in New York watching Henry whilst the rest of the squad was in pre season on the west coast preparing for Seattle I believe. A bit like our car tax now, he wants paying twice.
