Emmanuel Adebayor - Officially gone \o/

I presume the booing of Ade is to send a message to Poch.

For instance it is easy to say a fan should never boo... but if Spurs were a goal down with 20 minutes to go and the manager had Klinnsman, Sheringham, Messi and Stuart Nethercott on the bench... and brought on Nethercott... the fans would boo to show him that he made the wrong call.

I have booed at the end of games years and years ago when the manager clearly had to go, i.e. we had been on a long, long run of awful football and bad results, you could see the players didn't try, didn't pull together as a team, they were just waiting to roll over and lose, they gave up after a few minutes, we were heading down the table for months... then it is time to boo the manager and let the chairman know it is time to act decisively.

So yes, the fans should never boo... but sometimes it is done to show a message "I am not happy with that decision".

In this case, I can see why Ade played, I did not and would not boo him onto the pitch, but I guess that is the rationale of those that did, presumably because he doesn't treat Spurs with respect, he chooses when to be available and when to make himself unavailable which shows a lack of respect to Spurs and his team mates.

But he was made club vice captain and team captain for the night, plus statements from players and former managers state that he has a huge amount of respect from within the club. How would those closest to him respect him so if he's guilty of these sorts of traits and actions?

Perhaps Ade is a brilliant rapid-fire conversational hurricane of charm and smiles and jokes and you start off annoyed with him and half an hour later he has talked you round.

We probably all know people like that.

But as we don't see/hear that side of him much, we stay annoyed at his actions.

Presumably the Spurs jet is ready and waiting for Bentaleb, as we know it is very hard to get back from Africa to London.

As I said earlier its best for both parties if he moves on, however the fact that he once played for the **** is enough for some fans to **** him off, the same happened to Gallas.

Agree.
Its quite boring really.

It is time for him to move on.
But anyone that denies his excellent on loan season or key contribution under Sherwood are clearly being deliberately negative and will never be happy with what we achieve

As I have said before, if we can have a firing Adebayor for the next 5 months it's of benefit to the club and the fans. He can be an excellent number 9. While we have so many games he really will have a part to play if he hits form. Taking the pressure and spotlight off Kane.

To those who were watching, how did the other players seem to react to Ade's work on the pitch?

We now that Verts and Vorm didn't seem to feel good about Kabul's work on the pitch; did anybody show similar (or subtle?) disdain to Ade?

This may ultimately be much more important than other discussions about Ade imo

If.

I Love you Ade....

Please start playing for us.......I mean really playing..........we need you!

and dont worry about those that boo you....they are just poopy heads!

Spot on.

I'm a fan, but I think it's time for him to move on.

Some people just refused to give him a chance because of his Arsenal history.

His goal record for us is pretty decent.

He made it clear that the incident changed his priorities in life. Fair enough. Football isn't important compared to what happened in that horrific incident. However, if football doesn't come high in his list of priorities he should give it away. Evidence? Look at his happy go lucky attitude. Again, nothing wrong with that. Just take it Sunday League games, not the Premier League.

Okay i can see that there isnt actually any factual evidence other than seeing people you know that you could have called friend murdered in front of your eyes...and that this changed his perspective in life. You aren't punishing him for this are you? as in since he experienced something traumatic like this he should give up his livelihood ? thats not what you are saying?

The only thing is i dont know how you know football or his primary source of income isnt high on his list of priorites...

and i also dont know how you know he has a happy go lucky attitude either....:-k

Edit:- is it a case that you are just reading into his body language with a mental filter of hate towards him?

It has nothing to do with his Arsenal history. NOBODY booed him when Redknapp signed him on loan. He plays well for half/a full season then he reverts to type and plays turbo **** and/or shows minimal effort. Given how talented he is, he's one of the most unrealiable players I have ever seen.

I don't hate him at all. In fact there would be no happier fan than me if he started performing, but we both know that isn't going to happen don't we? He can still earn his livelihood, I'd just prefer it not to be with Spurs. Couldn't comment on other aspects of your post because I could not make any sense of it. BTW, unlike others on here I am not a fanboy of any particular player. I support the club. Also, re your hate comment, I made it clear that no Spurs fan should ever boo him. Just wanted to get that straight.

Spot on, there are always a couple of fans in the pubs after the game who hate him for playing for the ****, same thing happened to Gallas. Its usally the same idiots who bitch about us having any red on our shirts.

For the record I've never booed one of our players (whilst still at the club) but I'd be interested to know where the limits are.

Are we allowed to boo a manager's decision to bring on a player we don't like? Not boo the player, just the decision.

If we can't boo players, where's the limit? If Poch decided our defence was missing a fat mental cvnt and brought back Sol Campbell could we boo him? What about Ched Evans? Jack Wheelchair? John Terry?

No, nobody did boo him, but people where not happy with him and I've even seen people blame his finishing on not getting top 3.

I haven't seen him be a **** really apart from with AVB, and fall outs happen with managers and players, nor have I seen him give minimal effort to many times he has been on the pitch.

I personally think he has mental issues, who,can blame him after what happened.
