It depends though. If AVB feels he's finally cracked him mentally then it could be the start of something, rather than a blip.
I'm happy to see him stay as one of two senior #9s, if the other one is an awful lot better than Defoe.

Indeed. The complete opposite of 'flat track bully' Defoe, who is completely nullified by any half competent defence.

He's shown not just at Spurs, but over his entire career that he doesn't do it consistently enough, something you always slate Defoe for.

I'd say Defoe is consistent. 34 games out of 40 a season he'll be crap, which is consistent in my books.
Of course. But it's why I (like Andre seems to) would always opt for him out of the pair for matches like tonight.

How many games would you honestly say Ade has played well in this season? If you say more than 10 then I will seriously start to wonder if you are related to him.

I still think we need another striker. Id keep both (like ive always said) but bring in someone else... our squad is fairly weak and needs strengthening in terms of numbers and quality. I have had enough of Ade and one game wont convince me he has 'changed' his ways.
Put it this way - I do not want another season like this where goals could have made the difference but due to lack of a quality striker we couldnt make it.

Ade makes me sick, this guy laughs as he misses a big peno and says its because hes tired!!! I know now why City and Arse fans hated him as he is a con man. He lured us in with decent performances last year but the second we got him on a contract we got the real Ade. If we keep him on next season, I'll know AVB has no real ambition for us.
