Eberechi Eze

I thought about this the other day....how we could have got Eze when he was at QPR etc. But...The reality is these players would very unlikely develop to the level they have done with the more limited game time they would get with us. Look at Odobert for example. We DID actually dip into the younger player/30m area (and I know he's had injuries) but he's jut not got any sort of regular game time, even when he's fit.
Similar to the calls we should have signed Watkins from Brentford, but no way he gets anything like the game time or development with us playing second fiddle to Kane back then.

While I think it’s a little odd that Eze is still playing for Palace, I also totally understand it. A good performance from him tomorrow night could all but guarantee their place in the main draw of a European competition so of course they want him to play. Hopefully it’ll be his parting gift to CPFC before he comes to us.

If he does play tomorrow, and then IF we sign him, can he play in the Champions League Group Stages for us having already played in Conference League, or with it being a different competition it becomes irrelevant?

Daily Heil saying Spurs are considering offering Richarlison as a make weight in the Eze deal and we would then go for Wissa.
That doesn't seem remotely plausable considering Richie put in his best performance for us 3 days ago.

There is no need for a make-weight. The deal is essentially done. My guess is that the replacement factor is big (i.e. need to secure a lump upfront in cash to pay Leicester) plus I'll bet the demotion to Conference has cost Palace some money, therefore they want to make sure they qualify. Let's hope he gets through unscathed...I'd start to get concerned if he looked like he was lining up for their hate match against Forest at the weekend!
