Gold is not more trustworthy than Romano at all.
The only thing you can rely on Gold for is a little bit of team news, for transfers he just follows others and is as much about the clicks as anyone else....

Yeah, Gold is a tap-in merchant and that website he keeps linking to is abhorrent but at least he hasn’t been posting hourly updates about Eze like Romano seems to be doing; plus he’s never shamelessly done PR work for Mason Greenwood’s agency like Romano.
In terms of pure reliability Romano is still reliable, with his Here we go - what happened with MGW doesn't change that. We can debate about the bits inbetween, at the end of the day like all of them it's a business for him so there are going to be some fluff in there for sure.
But Gold doesn't come up with any form of scoops at all, a tap in merchant is a good way of putting it! Even then there's been times he's missed an open goal
