but I’m honestly not bothered

the two superstars from that Ajax team have been pretty meh and this is a league in which Janssen and Tadic have been top scorers in recently.
 
Not convinced United really need him as a priority. Think this is just them flexing their transfer muscle and wasting money on the wrong player.

Its been like that ever since Fergie went, they throw money around mostly to appease the sponsors and the entitled fans.

Where would that have left Alli?

Not just in that formation mind, in general I think Alli thrives in similar roles and to me is the better player.

Will be interesting to see how he fits in at United if they sign him, they've done quite well in the transfer market recently. I struggle to see how he fits in there. They have more money to spend though and can afford to sign a very good player despite having other very good players for similar roles.

I don’t think they have the money to do much more otherwise why not buy Sancho
Don’t forget they borrowed £150m odd to find the money they owed out this summer and to add to their transfer war chest. It didn’t make huge press as their already so much in debt

Maybe it's a ploy to make man U pay more. Aren't we overloaded with midfielders at the moment?

Quite a bit less debt than us though I think?....

Van de Beek is a much smarter signing than Sancho. A better player for about 40% of the price.
