Djed Spence

When Spence joined I felt sorry for him - hung out to dry as an unwanted "club buy". At his best he is great, but his dissing of Thomas Frank put a question mark in my mind. If the score was still 0-1 when he played the ball backwards and provoked Tuchel's ire, I can understand him playing safety first and not wanting to lose possession. I think Tuchel will need him at some stage of the game in Mexico.
He isn’t the only English player to be playing too conservatively with their passing…it is prevalent throughout the squad.

Too many players are playing league-football instead of tournament-football. You can see the pressure on them to not f***-up as opposed to taking higher-risk chances. If we are to progress much further we need to make vertical and diagonal passes a lot quicker before the opposition can settle into their defensive schemes.

And thr fact Spence was nowhere near fault for the goal but in so many channels got hung out. Not saying there is an agenda but he seems an easy player to be down on. Our fans did it long before he kicked a ball at Spurs
His face doesn't fit for whatever reason, it also doesn't really help that he played as a RB but no one outside of Spurs or even in Spurs tbh has ever actually seen him play RB. It's not a position the wider public are now associating with him. They saw him as a LB backup not a RB who has played at LB to help out injury crisis.
