Dejan Kulusevski

Made as many key passes as any player which should have resulted in at least a goal
This. He didn’t run fast but he also made the right choice most of the time he had the ball. Laid one on a plate for Bergwijn who reverted to type. Think he’ll make a good option as an alternative on that side to Moura who can give us the pace on the break when the situation allows.

Bentacur looks excellent, but I'm not sure about first showing of Kulusevksi. His lack of pace is quite noticeable, which means he only ever has the option of cutting back inside. He seems to use the ball well enough, but he maybe only looks an option for playing against bus parking opponents, rather than any game we want to break quickly
Really?

I find your analysis suspect

This seems like a good observation for me.

Game state put him in a couple situations where this particular flaw looked more obvious.

But at the same time some of his strengths were also rather visible.

Fint debut.

Him and Son together would make a wonky frontline, a bit like when Son and Eriksen played either side of Kane. It could work, although in the DESK line-up Alli was always that extra 3rd quick breaker.

Think it adds some balance, bit more creativity, someone that thrives coming inside between the lines.

Opens up the question of the thread outside on the right. May improve with Romero back as the RCB, but a more attacking right sided wing back makes even more sense with a right sided forward like Kulusevski.

On the extra line breaker, probably not going to get a ton of that from central midfield as long as it's a central two. So wing backs will have to shoulder a bit of that with occasional runs from midfield.

Agreed, was thinking the same. Maybe if Kulu is playing then Doherty make more sense at RWB, whereas Royal playing when Moura is starting is fine. We do need a more natural RWB in the summer though....but add a RWB, LCB and perhaps a CM and we'll look pretty decent

Ill hold my judgement on him but he will not get in the team ahead of Moura, he looked like his pace was huddlestone-esque, looked predictable in terms of always having to cut in due to being one footed ... but I wish him the best.

Jesus this guy has had about twenty minutes of football and already people are making massive assumptions:D Remind me, what was Son doing for his first twenty minutes in a Spurs shirt - he took a whole season to adjust. Funniest thing is the guy created chances in his short cameo, it seems as if some thing of you don’t have top pace you can’t be a good attacker - he is quicker than Kane for starters and he looks like an intelligent footballer which is a big plus….

I'd say there's a 100% chance he's got more of a footballing brain than Lucas (bless him), so would not be so sure of that!

Hey! He had the entire 15 minutes to show us what he could do. It is time for a Kulusevski: brick or Goat poll!

100% had we signed Diaz he wouldn't be here. Just can't see him breaking ahead of Moura or even Bergwijn.
