Is anyone else just a little worried that Gomez going to Fiorentina might make Levy think he can now really squeeze Barca?

I'd like to say no but we've seen it before. He'd risk us dropping a whole bunch of invaluable points in August to shave a mil off the transfer fee.

Atlético Madrid have entered the race to sign Arsenal and Tottenham target David Villa from Barcelona. (Source: Daily Express)

News reaching us that David Villa to #Spurs is almost complete, final stages of process happening right now. #THFC

The fee reported for David Villa is £8.6 million. That's an absolute steal. Have a read of this. #THFC

When Villa is announced on Thursday and the link with Shaw starts at the weekend... #Meltdown may commence

Quick Google search would suggest that Atletico Madrid and ourselves were the two interested clubs, as of May, so it's not new news.

You can get 24/1 on Villa to Atletico. Best price Spurs is just 1.4 or 2/5 for you fractionists.

Last week Atletico were in talks with Roma over Osvaldo. Don't think they can afford both.

So have Real Madrid, so likely have a lot of other football clubs all of which appear to have no intention to repay the debt, in fact some of them live as if they have their whole life to pay back debts and then borrow more to buy a Ferrari and a nice mansion in the countryside! Ridiculous.

Atletico Madrid could sign both and still pay back some of the debt,

I disagree.

Fair enough, consider me educated with regards to the whole Falcao thing. I didn't realise that there had been third party ownership.
