Daniel Levy - Chairman

Because a club that hasn't finished lower than 8th in 17+ years is currently 15th and losing to the worse teams in the league?

Context matters but it doesn't give you a free pass. And that's the point, Levy by himself did better.

The fat lady has never sung before after 23 games.

She didn't even sing when we had 2 points from 8 games under Ramos, or got battered by Saudi Sportswashing Machine under AVB.

Making Munn and Lange the fall guys isn't fair.

Deals completed so far in the PL

Aston Villa: Donyell Malen, Andres Garcia
Bournemouth: Matai Akinmboni, Kai Crampton, Julio Soler, Zain Silcott-Duberry
Brentford: Michael Kayode
Brighton: Diego Gomez
Palace: Romain Esse
Ipswich: Ben Godfrey (loan), Jaden Philogene, Julio Enciso - Brighton (loan)
Leicester: Woyo Coulibaly
Emirates Marketing Project: Claudio Echeverri, Abdukodir Kusanov, Vitor Reis, Omar Marmoush
Notts Forest: Wayne Hennessey
Southampton: Welington, Joachim Kayi Sanda, Albert Gronbaek
Tottenham: Antonin Kinksy
Wolves: Emmanuel Agbadou

Southampton are surely too far back to have survival hopes so would seem to be already looking at players for a push for promotion from the Championship next season.
However it looks like Ipswich are trying to add to their squad to help their survival battle, that is a concern for us.
I can remember when Saudi Sportswashing Machine were in a sticky situation a few years ago they bought Chris Wood partly to massively weaken Burnley, who were their main relegation rivals. We should perhaps be trying to do that to Ipswich.

Plus get a forward we want. I just don't think they'd sell.

Levy needs to do more than that. He needs take himself and folks like Collecott, Cullen, Caplehorn and make some big decisions. Levy should not be operating as a chairman and CEO. As owner, he should be the chairman and the board should hire a CEO. Tavistock should form that board with him.

That CEO might not want Collecott as his CFO, and the board should respect that. Then Levy should decide whether Collecot is senior to be a director on the board or just let him go. Ditto with Cullen and Caplehorn.

Spurs need a board of equals, not Levy yes men and women. We then need a CEO who runs the football club and is accountable to the board. That CEO does all the hiring and firing and manages the P&L and BS. Not Levy as the chairman.

Even though Levy doesn't have to, he would get more respect if he setup a standard corporate structure with a CEO and Chairman / Board. He could even hire a chairman and just be the owner.

I have so much to say about this post but not here! Needless to say, THIS line is at the heart of THAT mess!

I think it's fair to say that he perhaps did not get the appt right in terms of a Director of FOOTBALL operations right in the first place. I'd love to know the details behind choosing Munn, but I'd say his 'global branding reach' was a major factor. Which is important in some offices, but perhaps not the main factor in a DoF (who obviously DOES need to be globally connected)...

And that's saying something......

If you walked into Waitrose with a banner whining and bitching about everything you dislike about Waitrose, would you expect to keep it?

I honestly don't understand the Levy demonstrations. It's not like they're going to sell because some people are disgruntled. It's fine that people feel the need to let out some steam though, which is maybe what these guys just need in the end.

I fudging cringed hearing the chants during the game. I’m there to support the team to win a game, not throw brick at the chairman. Do it before or after the game.

There is justification in the protests if you’re that way inclined but reading stuff online Levy is fudged no matter what. Everything he doesn’t do is the right thing to have done according to some.

The banners should not say "Levy out"

They should say "Please massively increase player spending; we have enough headroom under PSR FFP and all the other acronyms, I admire your model but there is scope to do more ASAP"

You reckon that some of the so called fans can spell some of those words i take it.;)

As long as on the back they explain where to find all this extra money they want spent.
It’s the one thing I keep on coming back to
I want us to spend more and we need too
Everyone talks PSR head room… I heard it three times on the platform yesterday
Just because the rules mean you can spend more it doesn’t mean you have the money to do so
So where is it going to come from?

Just because you still have room in the supermarket trolley, it doesn’t mean you can afford to put anything else in.

So a straight question.
Do people think Daniel's wage and transfer policy hasn't contributed, over time, to our inability to win things or go the extra mile when in position to do so?

I think most of them need a crash diet and a hair transplant first.

It’s pretty much that but seems a lot of people do get it because of these fudging money league tables
Isn’t the net result the same, wether it’s because they lack ambition or simply dont have the ability or the funds, Daniel Levy and ENIC aren’t good enough owners for Tottenham Hotspur.

I have read this forum and have seen the comments that we aren’t that big a club and we should align our expectations with that of the Villas, Saudi Sportswashing Machine etc of this world. That’s not a view I agree with, the footballing landscape changed with the inception of the premier league so to compare our past league performance prior in a time where there was no champions league and it can be argued cup performance was almost at par with league performance is disingenuous.

Yes they have delivered on the stadium and the training facilities but from a footballing perpsective they are not successful and they have had 25 years.

It is time for change, wether the fans have any power is a fair point but criticising fans who want change is odd and I ask those who support this regime, do they really believe that ENIC’s stewardship will result in sustained success on the most pitch ?

Huge huge difference between wanting change and having solution
I posted about this not that long ago
What is the change?
No one can tell us because there isn’t an option, so nothing to back
It’s a Monty python sketch basically….
It’s pretty much Brexit. We must leave Europe because it’s bad. We don’t know the alternative but it will be better… here’s a bus with some stickers ok it to confirm it
Show me what the alternative looks like and I can back it more but right now asking people to back something that actually doesn’t exist isn’t effective

I think what’s contributed most is other clubs have higher sources of legitimate and illegitimate income
I don’t think our co owners wages make a difference TBH because the highest paid people are ok the pitch and the sidelines
