Daniel Levy - Chairman

Sorry to be short

But he's not going anywhere.....suck it up.
dont disagree. thats where it's on the fans to make the change.

I think i will give up the STs this year. Appreciate some other mug will buy them. but it's on the fanbase to build pressure. not allow it to keep happening.
I joked earlier about Nelson and Saha. But that in itself is proof of the man. That happened 12 years ago. And we're still being shovelled the same brick, but with the highest or second highest prices in the league. not good enough.

For years i've been vocally anti levy, like a small minority.

Do we think this is now a majority? Surely now, people can finally see why he's not fit to run our club? sooner he's gone the better. Dont need to hear the "better the devil you know" lark. For me, he's a business man here to make money. And he's done that well. but the fans should demand better. hopefully now folks wake up to the fact he's not interested in on pitch success. it's a culture issue from the top.

You are dreaming if you actually believe that.

Levy is polarising in himself. I don't want him anywhere near football operations. He's had his chance for 25 years and has setup a new model where he moves upstairs. He failed at operations. However, he has been incredibly successful at everything else and a massive reason why our future is looking bright. I think he deserves the chance to see it out, as long as he stays away from operations. I don't went him gone.

Always worth remembering that Danny is one of us. His blood is lilywhite.

But how many teams in the table referenced, have ever had it?

Does it really matter? Football is about winning things, not merely getting into the champions league. I think it’s very difficult to argue that we haven’t gone backwards on the whole since Poch was sacked. Whilst acknowledging he should have had more time to rectify the mess we got ourselves into in terms of league results, he looked fed up so I’m not entirely critical of the decision to sack him. But we’ve gone from one managerial style to the next, there doesn’t seem to be an obvious plan. Seems like let’s just get whoever is available and will come to us, incidentally quite a lot of managers turned us down. When Arsenal, Liverpool or Brighton change managers, they go for people who play a similar brand of football to the previous person, there’s continuity.

Football is about winning the Champions League, to do that you have to be in it. You asked me how I measure success, CL qualification is my metric.

It’s a relatively short time since Poch left, there is bound to be ups and downs. I look at things longer term.

Pool and Brighton do now …
They also had Hodgson and Hughton don’t forget
Arsenal… can’t agree
Emery plays high line attacking football
Lego head had no record or style to convince or use as a reference but he was available
Fully agree it’s about winning trophies though

Here we go, another fan that wants a Saudi Billionaire to use us as a toy.

Emery and Arteta both play an attacking brand of football and look to be in the front foot. It might not be like for like, but it’s a similar philosophy. Totally different to us who go from one style to another.

I don’t know why fans get on their high horse about who owns the club. I’d understand if we were winning things under this ownership in spite of Saudi and Qatari owners but winning diddly squat but taking pride in that, what is the point?

That's not a fact and it doesn't help your argument to keep saying it.

Levy is fair game for criticism. There are lots of sticks to beat him with as there are many sticks to defend him with. But he undoubtedly wants on-field success for us. He just has different ideas to us on how to achieve it. Given that he knows about running a club, given that he has ultimate responsibility for multi-million pound transactions, given that his personal wealth is tied up in the club, that's not surprising. Trying to characterise him so one-dimensionally isn't fair.
