Must confess that I don’t actually get Munn’s role. If it’s not to decide on the football direction of the club then what is it to do?
Effectively become the Chairman

I’m talking about the top guy on the football side, not the manager.
Then why isn’t it titled ‘Chairman’?Effectively become the Chairman

That period for our club set us back years and will be extremely difficult to recover fromMy mistake, I agree completely with you on this, still have nightmares about Hitchin.
Then why isn’t it titled ‘Chairman’?
You don’t know what his role will cover but are happy to argue he is a good appointment? You don't get his role but are happy to argue it's not a good appointment?
I don't know what his role will cover exactly either but most clubs have several layers of positions between DoF and owners/CEO (City have the two filled by the names i mentioned and Chelsea have 4 people across 3 differently titled roles) Munn sounds like he is slotting in in a level position rather than a DoF
So is Levy going to,stop drawing a salary from the club?I imagine because Levy currently occupies that title, but by what the club have stated are his areas of responsibility thats clearly what the role is. And as I say, the fact he was appointed at at time when Fab was at the club the clear lines would be a DOF reporting to him and Levy stepping back. Thats a clear win for me if we get the DOF role sorted/Fab returns in the role and if Levy steps back.
The clubs now clearly split with Munn overseeing all football and Kline overseeing all commercial, thats alot cleaner than Levy trying and failing to do both
So is Levy going to,stop drawing a salary from the club?
Doubt itSo is Levy going to,stop drawing a salary from the club?
8th surely represents a brilliant league finish for a club the size of Southampton?8th from 11th I believe according to wiki…
I haven’t checked
Doubt it
He could just take a dividend and cause even more uproar
I said i don't know exactly and i haven't argued he's a good appointment so 0 for 2 there. You don’t know what his role will cover but are happy to argue he is a good appointment?
Do Emirates Marketing Project have one of those people with a job title of: ‘Chief Football Officer’. Do they have them in place without a DoF making the footballing decisions?
OK, so you’re with me that he’s not a good appointment?I said i don't know exactly and i haven't argued he's a good appointment so 0 for 2 there

And for info; Emirates Marketing Project don’t have a ‘Chief Football Officer’ and do have a DoF.
I’m comparing him to DoFs as the DoF is in charge of football decisions at a football club. Munn is titled Chief Football Officer and we don’t have a DoF, ergo Munn is in charge of football decisions at our club.I have no idea if he is or isn't same as i would any type of appointment at that level as they are not generally well known people to football fans.
You were comparing him to well known DoFs when he's not a DoF - It's ok to hold your hands up on that.

Whatever decisions are currently his to make due to the Paratichi situation doesn't change the fact he was not appointed as a DoF, so the comparisons are moot wrt the angle you are pushing with it being a case of us appointing Munn over the big hitter DoFs that were available at the time.
Paratici. So who is in charge of our football decisions then?
