Daniel Levy - Chairman

Would be weird for us to capitalise it at far less than it cost us to build it wouldn’t it? I don’t get why we would do that?
Build us different to cost
As I say, total cost is staggered and capitalise over different periods
We brought the land before we built it
And have added to it

Press story or gospel? Was he offered Tielemens as an alternative to Grealish perhaps?... with the manager preferring the latter (as we know he very much wanted Grealish)?

I just think the dynamic between Levy and Poch on transfers wasn't great. Levy will always look for value. Poch I think was not clear who he wanted but at the same time wanted to control transfers himself. The dynamic didn't work so well. But look at the history of who we were trying to get, and Spurs were trying to buy the right players in Grealish and Tielmans. With the stadium revenue and a new manager we should be able to be more incisive with transfers again.

I think Poch had specific 1st choice targets that he wanted but wasn't transfer/scouting orientated in general so beyond that if they weren't attainable he relied on club targets. Probably by the time we got to the no signings windows he likely was at the point where he had lost trust in those club targets and thought he'd be better off holding out until he could get his targets instead.

The first half of Pochs reign we were more assertive in our buying
The second half wasn’t like that IMO
We didn’t know we’ll enough exactly what we wanted and was more scatter gun in player qualities if not position
It’s why we actually made a lot of purchases but the team
Didn’t really change
I also think it was bloody hard for a player to get up to speed in Pochs set up

I know uefa scrapped their rules but have not heard about the premier league (rules are slightly different)?

Hopefully uefa bring in rules that work. Guardian says should be based on wages and transfer fees.
I was being sarcastic
The whole thing is a shambles
City are taking the form to court around their investigation and that’s barely making any news

Yeah true. A number of factors: Poch wanting more control. The lack of money because of the stadium. And us playing at a higher level, it got harder to strengthen the team. But how you divorce the manager from transfers and just blame Levy is beyond me. The manager is always central to transfers.

Anyone go to or know of anyone at Protest today? Mate of mine said it died as quick as it started being a non match day. Loads of flags but no direction. Youngsters hijacked it with their silly chants and elders sloped to pubs before 2.

Any others?
