They are, they are also going door to door offering tests in certain areas.

If was the gov advice earlier this year to get tested whatever.

The Gov are a complete shambles, but people determined to get another paid holiday are going for tests just because.

I teach. We have been back at school for 10 days. We have three year groups in isolation at home and a number of staff isolating at home with their own children, sent home from other schools. The government sent us 10 tests before term started. They were used by lunchtime on the third day. Since then we haven’t been able to access more. Some of our parents are paying for private tests.

Multiply that by thousands of schools all over the country. Add in universities next week. Those are the main reasons that there are a shortage of tests, not a few malingerers.

It’s a shambles. Another one. And this is September. Imagine what it’s going to be like midwinter.

100% there’s people out there doing this.

The schools also need to be sensible. My niece had a stomach bug . Was kept off school but to go back needed a Covid test. It was a 24 hour thing that they pick up. Had to go get a test. It was a total waste of time and a test.

There will be kids swinging it , causing havoc for whole form and year groups. Causing possibly 100s to need testing.

I also know teachers who would happily sit at home getting paid to do very little.

I’m sure there are doctors and nurses who’d happily sit at home while getting paid. And accountants. And pilots. And bin men. And cleaners. And shopkeepers. And traffic wardens. And plumbers...

Still doesn’t take away from the point people take the tinkle out of the system to gain advantage to suit themselves.

This is what drives a lot of right wingers, the idea that there are hordes of people leaching off the 'system' at their personal expense. But not them, oh no, not them They are all paragons of working virtue and self interest never occurs to them. Yeah right! the self righteousness of the right writ large. Psstt, don't talk about tax evasion!

Didn’t Johnson say yesterday that we would not be going into a second national lockdown.

The fact they do have more testing and know a lot more about the virus and how it’s spreading we should be better placed to avoid it.

Was out for a few hours on the tinkle in the city yesterday
2 bars we walked straight in and sat down, no track n trace or anything, the other 2 were really strict and sticking to the rules they have been given
