I absolutely hope that we go in hard for Gakpo still...we need a big physical player upfront, so either him or throw the dice on go for Mateta. Otherwise we are going to suffer at set-pieces big time (people forget how great Romero was in the air and in the box - either one!)...
Regarding Gakpo, I think it obviously comes down to them and incomings, but equally, if the player has stressed he wants out, that can cause a manager to sell him. Let's see. I agree it feels unlikely given context, however there's still a chance, and I think he'd be good for us.
