So why spend money now on fourth or fifth choice when we could get first choice in Jan.
It's why murdyk sort of makes sense.

Also, if Mudryk is brick we have no obligation to play him, can just mark it down to a gamble that didn’t pay off. Whereas if we spend £40m+ on a “backup” we’re financially committed to try to polish a turd.

I personally think Mudryk will turn out well, he’s surely going to play like his life depends on it.
