I love Eriksen and thought he was excellent again yesterday. But Harry is, without a shadow of a doubt, our most important player.
I had the same view re Alderweirald.²
Do not get me wrong Kane is a great player but we have proved we can win with him out injured, i am not sure if Eriksen was out as long as Kane has been ( on a couple of times over the last few seasons) we would have the same result.
Eriksen makes my pants sticky and we have no one in our squad that could replace him.

I agree. He's our metronome.
It is not a theory that I want to see tested but maybe Winks could cover for him.

Poch has changed this season to make the tactics flexible enough that can cover for anyone being out.
It was pre Sanchez, but that hasn't changed my opinion that much tbh. Although it is great to have someone so good. But I still think the approach to playing with players available has become more important than any individual. Was that before we bought Sanchez though? because we may/would have struggled more if Sanchez had not settled as quickly. At the moment we have no one who could give us what Eriksen does, that may change if Pooch brings some one in.
As Milo said Winks may turn out to be that player but as good as he is at the moment he is not at that point yet. imo.
Missed him badly today. Our link play from midfield to up top was non-existent today. I'm not Lamela's biggest fan, or certainly dont rate him anywhere near the level which some people on here do, however was amazed that given Eriken was out, Lamela didnt start
Today was a good game for Eriksen.
Especially when it's Sissoko that got the nod ahead of Lamela. Without Eriksen we aren't nearly the same team. Those conditions weren't easy today but for a player of his ability and technique, he would have stood out compared to the rest of them sliding around on the ground.
Said it before but Eriksen is our most important player, without him in the team we have far less creative play. We have no one who can step in for him to supply us the way he does.
We've needed back for him for years. Can't believe we've taken so long to address this. Even when he is fit and healthy he can't be expected to do it every game.
