Gone for the money (‘playing time’) it would appear…
Miss Moneypinchy
I think Ten Haag being there might of been a pull along with an Ajax philosophy he's familiar with.would seem so. They're obviously a massively club however EL rather than CL this coming season, and probably the year after....but he might only have 3-4 years left in him.
So he wouldnt be going to Utd for footballing reasons - just money and them being a big club.
Will be interesting to see how Eriksen and Fernandes play together
Bit disappointed with this as Utd are a threat to us - perhaps not immediately but if they carry on spending hundreds of £m p.a. they'll close the gap eventually
Well that is disappointing.
Eriksen is a better player than Fernandes, and far, far, far less of a prima Donna! Can’t really see what he takes to United that Bruno doesn’t … got rotational option. Let’s hope he takes their corners for them.
I'm intrigued how Man U line up with him as him and Penandes would need a hunk of burning love in there to win the ball back and they definitely don't have one there at the moment.
Totally understand if he's been guaranteed more playing time there due to how we line up and our new found depth, hard to imagine that being a reason to miss put on a player to Man U in the prem era though!
The old Toby move that allegedly tinkled us off in the past. The rumour is he was coming to us weeks ago but asked for more money after man utd’s offer which tinkled off the club and told him we are not increasing it.
I don't think so. Getting rid of Paul 'I'm so full of myself that I can't be bothered to actually do my job' Pogba and Christiano 'I don't care about anything but myself' Ronaldo, will have sorted most of their problems. How good of a signing Eriksen is will depend on their other business.
It's tough to tell. I don't think money would have been that high on his list of priorities (besides all offers would have required a wheelbarrow each week). It was then rumoured he wanted to stay in London and would surely of preferred to be in the CL. Both ticked with us. So?, playing time? our formation not perfectly suited? Perhaps Conte didn't charm him enough 1.as he already knows him 2. Because Conte himself couldn't really say what the plan for him was.Eesh. Various reports going around of us being Eriksen's preferred destination but the club not wanting him enough.
I think this one's going to come back to bite us. Suddenly United have an attacking midfielder who knows how to press and always brings out the best in the players around him.
That was what I was intending to imply. Penandes would start most games as a ten so if Eriksen played CM I think they would be exposed centrally when they don't have the ball based on their current options.Unlike Fernandes he can play in multipe roles/positions.
I would be concerned about the lack of balance. How good of a signing Eriksen is will depend on their other business.
