Yes, it feels like Gold’s been briefed by the club to put this out there as a kind of ‘stop dingdonging around’ message to Eriksen. We made him an offer two weeks ago maybe and then left the ball in his court
Possibly not though…

I know Romano is not the gospel but he doesn’t say we are targeting a midfielder.

Paratici is known for negotiating alot of deals, this may well be the case. It may have been Bossouma or Eriksen for all we know.

Really? Eriksen is going to be looking out for the legendary Ali Golds latest tweets and then makes his next move based on that? Some people really do over inflate this guy. If Spurs wanted to tell him to get a move on with the decision they would do so directly and not through Ali Gold…..Yes, it feels like Gold’s been briefed by the club to put this out there as a kind of ‘stop dingdonging around’ message to Eriksen.

I know where it’s come from, but agents know what is going on through talking to football people - Eriksen and his agent are not going to be acting on anything based on an article, and the thought that Gold could be used to push things rather than Paratici having a conversation with his agent is to be polite, fanciful….It's actually an article in football london, that has now been copied by various other media sources including the daily mail. It will be everywhere by tomorrow. Yes his agent will know whats going on in the media regarding his client. It's part of his job.
You are correct though spurs could just tell the agent.
I don’t think it’s that crazy, only to people who constantly spend their time putting him down.
When he is on the pitch he always makes things happen and creates, yes he gives the ball away but that comes with being a dribbler and being someone who looks to break the lines and take risks. It’s a fair argument that he isn’t going to be the best person for a Conte system, but that system isn’t always going to work and you need a plan B - someone like Moura who can create is definitely worth keeping and utilising……
It's very underrated having a disrupter like Moura. Even if we bring in a richarlson ahead of him, he'll still be an important part of our forward roster.
There's a reason multiple managers always used him ahead of bergwijn, bale and even the haloed lamela
Is giving GLC another go out of the question?
Predominantly used in domestic cups, off the bench or when we want to go 352. If the best offers are something like €16m plus €1.75m in addons then we are not going to sell him.
Could he not thrive in a settled environment and system with two of our four central midfielders behind him doing the dirty work?
He doesn't do what we want though. Doesn't create, assist, score.
