Cheatski are still scum

they could just move and change name
I'm sure Cheatski had to change their name when they ducked out of paying their liabilities, leaving creditors in the brick... e.g. they changed to "Chelsea Athletic and Football Club Ltd" or whatever.
I can't find that online now though.

I did find this from 2005

Chelsea could have to drop their famous name if they move out of Stamford Bridge.

The 'Chelsea FC' name is held by members of the Chelsea Pitch Owners (CPO), who also own the ground and the turnstiles at Stamford Bridge.

While Chelsea have dismissed suggestions that they plan to use the new Wembley stadium if they decide to rebuild Stamford Bridge as "pure speculation", it emerged that any move out of their west London home could involve the loss of their famous name.

The Barclays Premiership leaders, who will secure their first title in 50 years if they beat Bolton at the Reebok Stadium tomorrow,

And this was mildly interesting too, from 2003
Soon the new regime was able to examine the state of Chelsea's finances closely. "I personally was surprised," says Buck, "but those in the know weren't. They had a £75m Eurobond outstanding and it was perfectly clear to the markets that they might have trouble making the July payment. Trevor Birch had been in discussions for some time about restructuring that bond. The financial community as opposed to the football community knew there were some real issues.

"Fans did not know that in January the club had mortgaged, if you will, the TV revenues. It borrowed against the TV revenues that were to be handed out in August. I didn't know as a fan that the club owed money to the Harding family and they wanted it back. As a fan I was naive. I knew the club had financial problems, but didn't know the specifics."

As of July 1 2003 Abramovich's billions set such issues to one side,

Barca have now done similar, spending their future TV revenue in the hopes of keeping successful. Feckin cheats, I would LOVE it if Barca get what's coming their way. Feckin levers my arse.

Except this is being funded by an £800m bank loan that will have to be paid back.

Yeah, they are contractually obliged to invest something like £1.75bn in the club as part of their takeover. But they will claw that all back (and more) long term, just like the Glazers have.

Is it any surprise that Abramovich gets kicked out and Chelsea go into rapid decline? The two aren’t mutually exclusive…….it’s a joy to watch. Hopefully they’ll get relegated!

RIP Vialli. Despite your association with this bunch you were always one of my favourite footballers.

An all round good bloke. Wouldn't have wanted to have messed with him on-field but the sort you'd want to spend an evening in the pub with and know it would be a good night!

Linked to spending another maybe £200m in this window

their cheating never stops does it

I get that uefa and the prem want clubs to invest in their academies. But when they use it to circumvent spending rules by spending more on transfers and wages than many clubs first teams, then sell them off is a joke.

Potter’s getting a lot of stick and is really now under pressure as the media have cottoned on to the “Potter Out” phalanx. I’ve had my doubts about him at a big club but it’d be crazy to fire him without giving him a proper chance. Don’t get me wrong as well, I do think he’s a very good coach but you need more than that for a job like Chelsea.

I hope he gets a fair crack of the whip but he can’t afford for this run to continue much longer or it’ll spiral quickly. Fortunately for him, I think they have a run of relatively easy fixtures coming up.

Hope they sack him and get someone like Zidane in. Potter will actually fix them if they have patience.
