Cann we avoid the drop?

If Ange stays it’s on the cards that we will go down. Not saying it’s definite, but we will keep getting injures under suicide ball and we will continue to concede soft goals.
No doubt at all that Ange takes us down if he remains. I’ve been saying it for a few games now and everyone I speak to thinks it’s ridiculous. But with every passing game especially against teams below us, that possibility becomes more and more likely. I can’t believe he will be there at close of play tomorrow.

I still think we will probably do just about enough to stay up but it’s too close for comfort for now and I’d be more confident with someone else in charge.

the bookmakers think we'll be ok, they have us at around 30/1, same as west ham, to go down. Think that's a bit high tbh but I'm sure they know better than me. Interestingly they have city at around 15/1

I had £20 on us at 250-1 a few weeks' ago. I'm still holding my nerve as opposed to laying some of it off

I'm not actually sure that we can: we don't have Kane to bail us out anymore and Son is spent.
This has to be borne in mind by anyone suggesting Mason could steer us away from the drop...previously he had guaranteed goals to call upon...

The trouble with the drop might be that we'd have to sell players we want (Archie) rather than ones we'd be happy to sell (Romero).

They don’t though. That’s only driven by betting patterns. We were 500/1 a few weeks ago….

The complacency of "too good to go down" is what undoes the mindset, no such thing when the form has been so dire.

All it takes is Wolves and Ipswich to get a little momentum and collect a few points while we're still struggling and boom, (no, not headshot) mired even deeper in the muck than we already are.

We're "too good" when it is mathematically impossible to go down, until then we're well and truly in for a fight to stay up - I hope we do, but it's increasingly worrying as to where this ray of light is going to come from and we start to improve.

Make no mistake, this is a relegation fight. In 2019 we were in the CL final, six years later we are struggling to stay up. That's what a poor manager can do!

Here's our remaining fixtures and my predictions:
Leicester (H) = win
Brentford (A) = loss
Man Utd (H) = draw
Ipswich (A) = win
Emirates Marketing Project (H) = loss
Bournemouth (H) = loss
Fulham (A) = loss
Chelsea (A) = loss
Southampton (H) = win
Wolves (A) = draw
Forest (H) = loss
Liverpool (A) = loss
West Ham (A) = loss
Palace (H) = win
Villa (A) = loss
Brighton (H) = draw

So 15 more points putting us on 39. I could see us getting up to 45. But can't see us above 50 points this season.
Leicester (H) = win (X = Loss = 24 points)
Brentford (A) = loss (X = Win = 27 points)
Man Utd (H) = draw
Ipswich (A) = win
Emirates Marketing Project (H) = loss
Bournemouth (H) = loss
Fulham (A) = loss
Chelsea (A) = loss
Southampton (H) = win
Wolves (A) = draw
Forest (H) = loss
Liverpool (A) = loss
West Ham (A) = loss
Palace (H) = win
Villa (A) = loss
Brighton (H) = draw

Updated predictions and so far Spurs are drawing against my Crystal Ball back up to being on course for 39 points for the season if they continue to draw. Albeit I had our 3 points coming from the reserves of the last two fixtures.

Ipswich and ManUre are both woefully out of form plus after today’s humbling I see no reason why we shouldn’t continue our good run against €iteh, so hopefully get at least 5 points from those matches this month to get us back into mid-table so we can focus on that glorious cup treble.

Liverpool 3-6 TBC
ARSEnal 0-1 1-2
Forest TBC 0-1
€helsea 3-4 TBC
Man €iteh TBC 3-0
Barcodes 1-2 1-2
Bournemouth TBC 0-1
Aston Villa 4-1 TBC
Fulham TBC 1-1
Brighton TBC 2-3
Brentford 3-1 2-0
Palace TBC 0-1
ManUre TBC 3-0
Wet Spam 4-1 TBC
Everton
4-0 2-3
Wolves 2-2 TBC
Leicester 1-2 1-1

Ipswich 1-2 TBC
So’ton TBC
5-0

I would say United are brick and even at our worst we should beat them honestly. But with their new signings (Dorgu, Heaven and it looks like Tel) maybe they will be a different outfit to play?
