Come on Ronnie
I was never any good but loved the game from its tv exposure during the 80s and 90s. I went to the old club I used to play in in my teens and had a similar experience, including someone’s dog having a brick on the floor. I think snooker halls always had a bit of the underworld about them, but if you were there to play you were there to play properly.I use to play about twice a week until I got married, but misus wouldn't stand 2 night training and the snooker, usually played at local social club or over Burtons. I moved home about 8 years ago and went to a snooker and games club and was gobsmacked by the type of people using the place, I felt totally out of my comfort zone surrounded by blokes covered in tattoos who looked like they had never worn a tie or shoes in their lives.

There used to be a Burtons snooker club in Gray's

Still one of the few sports I think where someone would call their own foul.
I think they use to be in all major high streets, I went to Camden and Kentish Town branches.
They used to have these art deco facias I remember
Great finish, Ronnie had lost the plot and threw away the chance to go 15-15, then missed one shot in 3 frames and won a safety bout in the decider. He thinks he’s playing golf though...

The other semi had a crazy decider the finished 94-74!!
I went to the doctors once and said I feel like a wigwam and a teepee, is to relax into it and not get tense.
