I think conte is trying to be the first manager to sack a club
By the drunk hardcore protestorsHe has to back conte or he’s getting lynched!
This isn't just some naive rookie saying it as it is. He knows the game. He knows how the media work. Listen to what he's saying. There's a problem.
I'm slightly paraphrasing but The Athletic are reporting "In this club they always change the coach and not the players. The players are the same but the results don't change" and "if we continue this way, we can finish 10th, 12th, 13th the same way that when I arrive here."
The guy is also talking openly about his own future perhaps not being with us. If alarm bells aren't going off, you're not paying attention.
This feels like a bit of a pivotal moment.
How many of us have been saying that since the CL final, bin this lot, none, absolutely none if that came before this season are worth keeping.
I look forward to melt down in the summer when some players leave who the fans think are untouchable.
Conte isn't just saying he needs new players in, he's saying he needs this lot out.
So sad yet not totally surprisingI think conte is trying to be the first manager to sack a club
In all honesty i’m getting fudged off with him making excuses and if this was Mourinho he would be getting grilled. I just don’t think Conte is as good a coach as many think. A good coach adapts to the ability of the players he has around him not forces his own tactics then cries when they don’t work. You do not need 5 at the back against a Burnley. Everyone and their mum could see we needed another body in midfield against Wolves and Southampton and everyone could see what type of crosses into the box both teams were doing which resulted in alot of their goals.
I’m sorry but the players may not be the greatest but he has to take responsibility for the way he set up or he can fudge off in all honesty.
It’s notSo sad yet not totally surprising
We broke mourinho and now Conte at breaking point too. He's frustrated certainly. But it sounds to me like his pride is wounded - 4 losses out of 5, "this is the first time in my life this type of situation has happened".
Is he really questioning whether he is the right man for Tottenham, or is he wanting to protect himself before his reputation is blighted?
Yes he can be emotional in his post-match interviews but he has a job to do between now and the summer. Have as many conversations as he likes with Levy, Paratici etc., make clear what he needs in order not to walk, but don't play it all out in front of the media.
I agree. Supposedly "elite" coaches do not necessarily suit THFC as the circumstances they find are unique I.e a club with top 4 aspirations but not top 4 resources. They have to coach their teams to be better. This is why the likes of BMJ, Harry and Poch were successful (relatively) and Poch in particular was a diamond. He's frustrated certainly. But it sounds to me like his pride is wounded - 4 losses out of 5, "this is the first time in my life this type of situation has happened".

It’s not
Said it before we got him… great manager but proper clam
But we had a fair idea of what he would be like from his previous jobs. So the question I have for ENIC is why did you appoint him? I really don't have much hope that this guy is going to turn us around.Bored of reading Levy has to back Conte. Yes we would all like the club to invest more, but its plain wrong the way Conte can just keep up these rants every time we lose a game and people use it to go in on Levy. The sound bites he is creating are ridiculous, he acknowledges this is going to be a long term fix so why does he have to come out with this after every defeat? I’m not having this ‘he’s just so emotional’ excuse -as a football manager there’s a way you have to conduct yourself in front of the media. The way he is behaving is not endearing and Is not helpful for anyone at the club or club in general….
Its whats needed imho.
Poch and nuno the nice guys got nowhere, jose was out for himself and thought he could win us a domestic cup and sail off to his next job.
Its the same players letting us down now that let us down six years ago.
Someone needs to stand up and say it, you aren't good enough, if think im wrong prove it.
Put your medals on the table.
A team of
Hugo,
Walker/trippier
Jan
Toby
Eriksen
Wanyama
Son
Kane
Should not have no trophies.
The CL final should have told us all we needed to know, we are spineless.
Stop making excuses for them.
That scenario is just a reflection of our manager.This.
It is awful and becoming more unpredictable by the day. One moment you're left with the impression we could seriously go places then all the problems glare up again and decline is looking like a real possibility.

Enic has used the Football Club to develop a sports stadium and events business.
I have made it a point to stop buying spurs merchandise to fund boxing and football events.

Seen all of Conte’s comments, and I know many were smitten by him (and I’ve no doubt from a motivational point of view he can get a bit extra out of players). But what’s everyone’s thoughts tactically?
I appreciate he is sticking to what he knows but that’s pretty lazy isn’t it. If our only 2 wing backs were me and the kit man, he wouldn’t pick us would he? He’d find a better way.
Time to earn your wage, find a better way and stop moaning.
