Antonin Kinsky

What adjustment was needed in your view?
A couple of times he needed to release the ball earlier.

Also thought he looked a bit unfamiliar with how to play with our players in this system. Seemed to be locked in to shorter passes and then played decent long balls whenever he couldn't find one in time. But because so much of our passing was heading down our left that's where the long balls mostly went too (or centre left). Kulusevski against their left back would have been a better target if he could have opened up for that option earlier on a couple of occasions.

I think he struggled a bit with he little time their attackers gave him. It's a getting used to thing I think.

I also kind of think we should have used him more in the first half. And perhaps earlier.

I thought he was top notch for his first league start
Timing of passing out affects all keepers
We would have got hammered with another keeper because the crosses were constant

I fully agree that he did really well. Just that there's a need for some settling in, getting used to the team and league. How quickly and successfully that happens is still an open question.

I’m really not sure he is a good shot stopper. Watching highlights of him pre joining us, he seems to spill of long range efforts.

Hopefully I’m wrong.

It's still a bit of an unknown for us at the minute, Although listening to his old coach and the reports out there when we signed him he was highly rated by everyone so there is reason to believe it's better than we know and we just haven't seen it yet.

Really very concerning.
It would fit in with the narrative - that they were looking for a keeper who is good with his feet - at the possible expense of not be a good shot stopper.
It would be crazy - but alas not surprising

He parries not spills, if you look at Vic's videos pre joining us, very similar.

Keepers in Europe seem to push/parry, if you look at a lot of Kinsky's "spills" his defender is right there to clean up, it's just an adjustment.

Not sure who thinks a 21 year old keeper is the finished article, it's does his game align with our style, so far I'd say yes.
