And this is our strongest team FFS, it's pretty average. Of course we shouldn't be as low as we are but it is not definitely top 5, especially when you consider decent sides who don't have European football to contend with and that is definitely a factor.....

I would say we have an average squad. If they were all for sale only Bergvall, Romero,Spence and maybe Gray would attract interest from better teams than us. Romero is very overrated but would be a star in a slower league.

Romero for all his faults is being made into a pantomime villain, came here, was in PL the team of the year first year, yes we can question his injuries and his commitment (I would sell him for a healthy profit) and yes he has been less than convincing lately (but who hasn't) but he goes somewhere better and wins stuff and then we cry we can't have good players. He is a very good player

Its also a changing game, literally no CB in the league bar 6 I can name, can really defend in the sense of the old school defenders. The lads literally won the lot at international level, was Serie A defender of the year, PL team of the year first year or something of the like. He isn't overrated, in fact given people love to stick it to him I would say the opposite.
 
Where we should be IMO with the squad: between 5th and 9th depending on variables which also include the seasons Chelsea, Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Villa, Man Utd etc are having. And whether there is a Leicester/Nottingham Forest/Brighton style challenge from the pack.

If that is correct he might be here until May. I think there is a possibility Europe might go down to 9th or 10th. Right now we are only 11pts off that (Not that I think we have any remote chance of closing the gap).
On that basis I would say he gets the chop with 4 games left, although something tells me, rightly or wrongly, he goes around 1st June

There is a clause for a 4th season. That could have certain triggers as well.

I think it's more than that , Munn will be the one that will push if he should stay or guy, this is Munns first appointment and it's been so bad he needs to be questioned.

I'd argue challenging for the Europa. I can accept not quite making it but at a minimum we should at least be in the fight for a European place via the league. Anything less is absolute failure.
 
Our players are good. We've bought some of the best players from other clubs that were smaller.
Romero, udogie, kulu were either in serie a team of the year or won young player.
Sarr, afcon young player winner.
Richarlison evertons best. Maddison. Johnson. Solanke.
Vicario considered the next big thing.

They are not bad payers.

Are they world class? Nope.

Could we have got better? Yes.

Are they better than the majority of players in the prem? Yes.

Shoud we be higher in the league with this squad? Yes.
