errrr…have I misunderstood the last few pages of your nonsense? Was your argument actually that it’s ok to use a racial slur and also make derogatory comments about someone’s weight or other physical characteristics?
Good job Ange isn’t vegetarian because is he was ….
The fat but does make me laugh when tacos say it. I nearly always look at them and most are not exactly in fine bills of health aesthetically themselves

It’s like when older blokes in pubs criticise women for how they look. And I think (and have said) really? Do you not have a mirror at home?

I’ve read a lot of comments about Ndombele on here in a similar fashion.
Ndombele looked larger than a normal footballer to some, that’s a way of putting it
Calling him fat … typically hypocritical
But it’s expectations
Did anyone call fergie names when he was in his poor years, I don’t know

LOL, I did. I called him all the names under the sun when he kept beating us.

My view is that as long as we're not being genuinely racist, misogynistic and the other ism's there is still room for light hearted banter in today's society. We can't possibly live in a world where you're not allowed to start a joke with "There was an Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman in a bar" and then stereotype them. We cannot let Woke get over-rotated.

When I used to watch Maidstone Utd vs Barnet back in the day, the fans always sung "He's fat, he's round, he bounces on the ground Barry Fry".

Barry didn't take any offence. He loved it. He was an ex Maidstone manager and knew that it was just fans banter. Nowadays, that would be all over social media with complaints everywhere and everyone would be taking offence on his behalf.

Context is everything of course and it's so easy to get the banter right in spoken word. Written word can take different meanings to different people way more easily.

We dropped a guy who had scored a hat trick in the semi for a guy who was not healthy.

That was a real, not a notional mistake.
I think that's too simplistic.
It was inexperience.

Pick Kane & lose=people call bad decision
Pick Moura & lose=people call bad decision
Not picking Kane would have been a huge choice. I'm not sure even Ferguson would have.
The final became lost with Sissoko easy on.

Liverpool were there and ready to win after losing before.
They've been at the top table consistently as a club.

Levy gave them their finalists medals, so they believed they had done enough. Liverpool were there to win a trophy, we were there for a day out in the sun. These days each game is much the same, but without the sun of course ;)

Maybe for some but if he hadn't picked Kane and we had lost I would have accepted it because well he obviously was never going to be fit enough to play the final. Honestly no one really expected him to play so if he had been ruled out by injury I doubt many could or would criticise that decision when it was the obvious one. If someone is injured and unfit that's just what it is. As I said earlier in this thread he would hardly be the first nor will he be the last star player to miss a major final due to injury.
