I would scrap most of the international Aid Fund and use it to support Ukraine against Russia, free to buy the weapons they need.

Better than supporting other countries space ambitions, whilst their own population dwell in squalor.

I got back from a week in NY yesterday.

You wouldn’t have known there was a general election a fortnight away.

But yet record numbers of early voters are showing up.

I believe it is only the DNC engaging in the ground game (door knocking). The Trumps have taken over the RNC and have used all the money on Trump's legal bills. This will hurt them.

I know some people in Atlanta and they said there's signs everywhere. Maybe more stuff in the tighter states?
 
Dr Phil talking about a country built on hard work, well relatively short history in America so we don't have to go too far back to realise it was stolen off the natives and built on the backs of black slavery......Shane the natives didn't have twitter in 1812 onwards, maybe they would have had cause for their own MAGA campaign

I don't know if this was a fair assessment of events (it appeared to be) but regardless of that, why does everyone on the Trump side of the fence come across as slightly unhinged, a bit mad looking, wide eyed and consumed by some alternate reality?.

Yet people on the other side (eg DA of Georgia, Senator of Georgia (actually a Republican lol))come across as calm, considered and just try to stay grounded. I'm not sure if that's a reflex reaction to whom you are up against?.

Its all mad, I was watching a clip about how they got the Trump movie through the lawyers by calling him a rapist, the documents and explanations were wild.

I think it's partly the grand conspiracy theories.

In a way the right and the left should be similarly afraid. The narratives to some extent mirror each other, though to me the narrative on the left being much more grounded in reality.

Where it isn't mirrored is that the left doesn't have the grand conspiracy element (to the same extent at least). Some of the people it has attracted had those already, others have had those views shaped over years now. They are so over the top, so conspiratorial, so disconnected from reality the unhinged part just comes along for the ride.

Oh, and religion. For many on the right it isn't just right vs. wrong, or even good versus bad, it's GHod vs Satan.
