American politics

That's what everyone is saying. Prime time on all the major networks. He knows the game too well to claim victory yet. It'll be more of the patience and we're on the right path stuff.

Presumably it would be in the next hour or so

I see the republicans are starting to clutch at straws to drag this one out.

The idea that proof of error detection is seen as evidence of a much greater problem with accuracy.

Not saying there couldn't have been mot errors. If it all comes down to a recount that will have to happen before we can know for sure. But the system working is the system working.

Is America divided? Of course it is. But what it needs is a leader and politicians who are going to try to unite it and heal the divisions rather than ones that deepen them. Trump is not going away either, he will continue spreading his poison but Biden represents hope at the moment. I’m not looking too far ahead. Just a move in the opposite direction to division and politics of hate will be a great start.

The problem is that the republicans will do to Biden what they did to Obama when they had the senate: Block everything, then blame the democrats at the the next election. You can't reach them or their voters any more.

We don't know - still - who the next US president will be, but we do know who it won't be - Kanye West.

The 43-year-old rapper has conceded after his self-styled "Birthday Party" collected just 60,000 votes out of an estimated total of 160 million.

Another independent, Libertarian Jo Jorgensen, made a much stronger showing - claiming more than 1.5 million votes

So it's on Biden to do a better job than Obama did (not hard) at winning over Republicans by offering them concessions in his bills.

He's been around long enough to know where all their limits are and what they want/need. Simply don't propose anything past their limits and include things they want. That's what politics is.

In 2000, it took 36 days for the recount and legal stuff to finish in Florida. My guess is that it will take longer now. But Trump won't go quietly, no matter what.
I'm certain that he will not attend the inauguration. He just does not give a fudge about ethics and protocol. Maybe he'll even transfer the presidency to Pence for the last few days. And Trump most certainly won't be quiet and let Biden do his job in the aftermath! He'll make noise and interfere. He'll be a pain in the ass for years!

He might have to play nice if he wants that pardon.
