With these type of discussions there's always successes and disasters on each side of the argument.

They are all just simply a risk at point of purchase

The main reason to question the price is if you have finite resources and only so many ways you can slice up that pie.
 
6 mill for someone in 1995 was mental. 15 mill for someone a few years later mental. 30 mill another few years mental. 50 mental. 80 mental. 100 mental. When 150 is mental, 100 ain't so bad.

Prices kept going up in the belief they always would (like dutch poppies). Covid and ffp curtailed that, tv deals stalled, but the saudis pumped it a bit.

At the moment prices have flatlined a bit. Especially when wages are considered.

Fee, wages, possible sell on and length of deal to be considered. Also gray who in a year or so will progress hopefully.

We paid £750,000 for Ardilles and Villa.

His defensive side is good, it's more around intercepting than jumping into tackles non-stop.
