Aaron Lennon

Delighted for him.
I think despite his seniority, he's always been a player who buys intoner pressure, thus when bad elements around him are no longer there, and when he's got the manager behind him, be gives it.
Great ball for Nobby today, perfect pace, and his endeavor plus his verve always caused Everton issues. We lost something significant when he went off. Happy he's fought his way back in.

Lennon always seems to play best for us after he's had a kick up the **** - either from losing his place in the team or competition being signed for his place.

Lennon always plays best for us when we have passers in central midfield

If he really wants to stay and the management use him well, he could go from being Billy Whizz to club senior and a more defensive/distributive midfielder.

He's got a good tactical brain - as shown by his defending and close-in tackling/mugging.

I hope we can use him for at least 5 years, England have looked elsewhere and I don't see that changing so he'll have regular breaks. It's up to him where he spends those breaks, but I'd hope that he'd refrain from the club & party scene.

A fantastic option to have in our squad and as long as he's happy to be here im happy to have him. Would start him on Wednesday for sure

I think we can use him how Fergie used Ji Sung Park. Doesn't have to play all the time, but when we need some pure work ethic and discipline from a wide player, he can do an excellent job.

He was mad for it today, and I think he's made himself undroppable if he plays like that. Not only because its exactly what Poch wants from a player, but its a senior player leading by example.

Don't think Lennon is a complicated guy, if he is picked he will play his best if not he will just get on with things. He has the talent to be in our team and he was at his best when Corluka was RB, Chiriches for me is very similar to Corluka and I think this got the best out of Azza today.

I think its more like the poster above said, Lennon is at his best, when he has two passers in midfield who can play the ball early to him. Get Lennon isolated against the full-back and its party-time for Spurs! Play the ball to him when the defence has time to double-up and he'll play the safe ball back and not do anything.

I think that he is a lot better than that and offers a lot more than just tracking back and doing a shift. His pass to Soldado today was perfect. He's a really good footballer.

Well said Milo. I've always been a big Lennon fan and maintain that he is possibly one of the most underrated players in England for some time now.

I agree. He seems to be one of those unlucky footballers that people judge on what he is not good at rather than what he is.

Was poor last season IMO. Won't ever score more than 5 ish goals per season, but can be a threat when on form. Today was a flashback to the Lennon of old again. I'm still not convinced he is the answer, but a good player to have as an option.

What he does is work hard in both end of the pitch. For all Lamellas efforts he could learn a lot from a Lennons defensive efforts

He's by far our best wide option in the squad, should be on team sheet more times than not.

Lamela actually puts in as much effort, he's just really **** at tackling and needs to work on his decision making with ball.

All in all, I like the option of starting Lennon in PL and bringing in Lamela late on, maybe switch for Europe/Cup

At home I'd be inclined to agree with Lennon in a 4-4-2. Gives us some pace we don't really possess elsewhere in the squad.
