Interesting.
Q1: What level of football did you play?
Q2: Now that Hudd have gone does he have any other "drinking partners"?
Q3: I've always worried that many young English players are in or are doomed to fall into the drinking lifestyle; I guess that reputation might be why many of the top clubs don't invest too heavily in too many English players. Anyway, from what you know do many/any of the English home-grown in our squad have similar drinking issues?

1. Some youth football and some high end semi-pro for a bit. Nothing spectacular but met a few people connected with the club.
2. No idea.
3. Not sure on current players as we seem to have sold our English core. Hopefully none!
Caulker was bad. The story of him and Lennon getting drunk on Lewis' yacht and offending his wife was confirmed to me by somebody on that boat. Another example would be caulker having to get rescued by his agent up in Swansea, where he had to drive up and pay his debts to a casino after he had no money left.
Spurs players get paid every Thursday and when he came back from the swans he was given a reported 40k a week contract. By Monday he would sometimes be at a friends house asking for 100 quid to get to training after being on a binge on the Saturday night and Sunday. Frankly it's disgusting how someone can be so wasteful and he must be really bad for other people to hear about his behaviour. Look at how is career is panning out at this stage.
Wow...just wow.
Thanks for sharing that; really interesting (but potentially depressing).
Do you (or anyone else btw) know if Lennon's drink problem is only very recent? Up until March 2013 (think back to the Arsenal and Inter matches at home) he was always one of the main guys who if missing through injury etc would leave a gaping hole in the team and in the way we played. I wonder if the injury problem he suffered on and off from March 2013 actually made him more withdrawn etc and prone to drinking away his depression?
Please PLEASE don't tell me that Livermore was also a binge drinker!
Surely it is well known that the English lads at Spurs (Thudd, Lennon, Livermore etc) would go out drinking and clubbing it a lot?

Don't forget ledders I mean I love him but he had quite a few public **** ups
He obviously didn't do it a lot, otherwise he wouldn't get so ****ed up.
Livermore would surprise me, he strikes me as someone who is a workaholic and would have a very professional attitude...
Sitting on my porcelain throne using Fapatalk
for most of that decade he was one of our best players
