Morocco could get through tomorrow no doubt. But at the same time, of the 6 teams left I could see anyone except Morocco winning the whole thing. It’s wide open. Just think that from back to front Portugal look the best balanced and strongest of them all.
 
Hats off to the Argentina fans. Practically every game is like a home game for them. Amazing how many of them travel to these tournaments, given how far away Qatar is too.
 
Two great games I thought.

Such a lovely thing to watch Modric still doing his thing. There are other good players in that team, very good even, but Modric is still special, even at this level, even up against Brazil. Croatia such a difficult team to play for the big teams, well organised and hard working, but also with the ability to keep possession so well.

Argentina are everywhere, everything all at once. Cool, composed, chaotic, panicking. Love to see it. Such a flawed side, but still so beautiful. As with Modric a real joy to watch Messi do his thing. A real throwback too to the old school number 10 walking around the pitch, but then bringing magic on the ball.

Will be very interesting to see those two teams up against each other. Similarities and contrasts.

Would love to see Modric win it.

The Argies are the masters of gamesmanship - as naff as the ref yesterday was, i think it was an almost impossible task to ref. Completely appreciate all teams do it, but from what i saw/have seen, Argentina take it to another level.

Same for me. Obviously I want him to win things at Spurs, but captaining the side that wins our first World Cup in more than 50 years would be something even the most stupidest Arsenal or Chelsea fan can never take away from him.

After that I’d like to see Messi win it. Even if you prefer Ronaldo, I don’t see how any football fan can watch messi and not enjoy it. He’s a joy a to watch.

Really don’t get why people are desperate for Modric to win stuff when he downed tools at Spurs but each to their own.

Bride has said the venue is not to show the game anywhere and has also TOLD them to turn off the Wi-Fi between 5pm and 7pm
