its where the feet are when the ball is kicked that matters, not where they are when you save it, I think he did go early both times though

Today was the first match I've watched in this WC. I've watched a few minutes here and there in passing but no matches. The kids have been on my case relentlessly from the off to watch but I held fast, until today. I know the fact I was not watching was driving them mad and I couldn't talk about what happened etc. So I broke today and watched this match and the earlier one. I feel like a sell out but at least I picked a good today to sell out. That was a great match.

Very few meaningless matches too, thanks largely to the upsets.

It's been a classic tournament on the pitch. But I hate the idea of that masking the horrendous fiasco that's been holding it in Qatar in the first place.

Have watched bits and pieces but feels nothing like a World Cup for me. Wrong time of year. Lacks atmosphere. One stadium looks like the next. brick kick off times. And all the awful stuff going on in the background.

Prefer the summer, obviously, but it's a nice change to have it over the winter - shame it's a result of blatant corruption but i wouldn't be against another winter tournament in the future, just preferably in a more traditional footballing country.
