2022 World Cup... gonna ruin the European Season

I want to see the support saka got when he came to whl after the euros. We won't though.
It was wrong to support Saka's failure.

If other teams/fans aren't giving Harry stick then they're not doing their jobs. Just like we're not if we don't support him.

Poor guy. I feel really sorry for him. Nobody deserves the kind of abuse that is going his way. He received more hate messages than any other World Cup after the first round. I knew this would happen, except I thought he'd miss the first one. Let's hope for his sake he'll manage to put that past him.
If like me , you thought he'd miss the first one then should he have been taking the second one ?
I tried to put myself in his mind , I would have had no idea where to put the second one , I don't think he did either, so he went for the very top corner, a high risk , lower percentage penalty ( can go both high and wide ).
I think Messi had been practicing for this very scenario and adapted to doing the checked run up and waiting for the keeper to go first.
Don't think Harry fancied that test of nerves.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and a 2nd penalty is always going to be a game of 2nd guessing, but even at the time, in my mind I thought Lloris would be thinking Harry will put this in the same place, which is why I thought he should gone straight down the middle

I think he did want to go straight down the middle but with power? Or he tried to put it in the top corner?

I didn't understand whichever pundit it was saying we should have had a back up penalty taker.
Having scored the first one, why on earth would you step Kane down for the second? Even if he'd missed the first, your money would be on him scoring the second. I doubt there'd be many who would want to step into his place.
He's going to live with that forever and it's just a shame that will be all that many remember of him from this world cup when in fact he has played brilliantly for much of it.

Hopefully makes him even more determined to win stuff for Spurs. fudge anyone who gives him abuse after that. Absolutely zero chance anyone at his level would bottle the chance to take the second penalty or politely hand it over to another teammate. Complete BS from Eni Anuko.

I like Southgate but I do think he should walk away and let someone else take the team forward. Not having it that it’s solely his fault when we lost to Italy, Croatia and tonight but he does appear to have a problem getting a team over the line like Spurs in the last 10 years or so. I think he’s done brilliantly to change the culture of the England set up, the players are likeable and seem to have a great rapport with each other. But when push comes to shove we play with the handbrake on. I know you have to be cagey and we were very unlucky tonight but his tenure as a whole, we have been a bit too cautious at times. Another thing about the culture which he deserves credit for, the players seem to enjoy the big occasions which we never did in the golden generation years.

Eni Aluko. She was just blathering for the sake of having something to say. You wouldn't have thought she'd played football before having heard her speak there

Yeah I thought he would go down the middle but Loris has seen Kane do that when not sure which way to go to mix it up. Extremely difficult for Kane , especially as it was the last few minutes and he knew if he missed we were pretty much out.
I know Kane is world class but is it these moments or lack of them in the biggest of games in finals/ semis/ quarters against the very best that will see Kane forever trophyless and falling below the elite ?
Or is it the fact that club and country just aren't quite good enough ?

If he'd stood aside for the second one people would've called him a bottler. Even worse if whoever stepped up then missed.
