Djed Spence

In recent weeks, Porro can barely run after 60 mins, he is deep into the red at 70 80 90 minutes, yet Spence was sat watching on the bench and didn't come on for 5 or 10 mins at all. Bizarre from Ange, not to use Spence one iota.
Just bumping my post from 16Dec24 about Spence not being used, whilst Porro is flogged

Djed Spence - 2024/25
Injured Oct 21st to Nov 8th with groin injury
Injured Jan 20th to Feb 1st with 'knock'

Pedro Porro - 2024/25
No listed injuries

There is agreement that a fully-fit, match-fit Spence was a good rotation option regardless. Given that Postecoglu DID use him that way a few times prior to his first injury, it is fair to conclude that there are reasons beyond whatever yours are that this did not happen as frequently in early December.

Another very good performance tonight

Not sure what you mean by "another"

He was woeful against BM. I have a feeling that he had a tough conversation with his manager after that one. Tonight's fantastic performance was a consequence of that feedback.

What we need to find out with Djed is whether he can hold himself accountable for that level every week. It hasn't happened so far in his career. I think it can with Frank though. There is a great player in there somewhere.

He has had many great games
Bayern was t one of them but we also gambled a lot on the team
Tonight he was brilliant

Agree that he probably needs to improve his consistency.

Also agree that he was great yesterday and has had many great games.

Think it's close with him and both Porro and Udogie. I sometimes think people forget how good Udogie can be (fit, fresh and confident).
