Agree. 3 at the back is always crap. Well the Venables side in 1996 perhaps an exception, but it had a novelty effect then

Poch played 3atb for part of the 16/17 season - Dier at CB with both Wanyama & Dembele in CM - other times he played as you described, think it was a pretty even split last time I checked

Apparently he's not. US fans are complaining that he's just golfing in London and hasnt been scouting any of their players. Apparently he called 90 players up to their first training session, because they had no idea who any of them were. So he seems to be phoning it in, waiting for a real job to come calling.

Indeed. At that point 3 at the back was a trend because of Contes success with Chelsea

I loved it when we did so but we had Kyle Walker back then who was just superb at RWB

This would be s significant step away from the man and manager I admire so enormously, thus I refuse to believe he is 'phoning it in'...if he is, that's poor behaviour.
