It's baffles me. I'm not some football savant but I've watched Savio play for Girona and City and I saw a guy that's plays very well on the left, creative, incisive and scores a bit. I see this guy played on the right where he runs into blind alleys and the best aspects of his game are negated ie. his crossing and passing pick outs. All for the hope that he will beat a man cut in and shoot. Something that he's shown repeatedly to be very poor at.

Makes no sense to me other than him being used to cover for Kudus' injury. But then I see RDZ specifically say that he loves his wingers to cut in and shoot on goal so I wonder then maybe this is actually how he intends on using Savio long term. Waste of money if that is truly the intention.

I think the whole inverted wingers thing has got a bit silly, there's generally much more room to cut inside. Better to have them on their natural foot and if you have 2 of them they can swap wings now and again to mix it up.

It's fine if you're top tier like Messi, Salah etc but doesn't work for the average winger.

I think the whole inverted wingers thing has got a bit silly, there's generally much more room to cut inside. Better to have them on their natural foot and if you have 2 of them they can swap wings now and again to mix it up.

Gray (Porro will likely be out for some time) and either Robertson, Udogie or Davies.
IF it means playing wingers in their natural positions i.e. not inverted, then simply pick the FBs that suit that system! Allow the wingers to be wingers!
What a shame it is that Solanke is so woefully off-form, because a front 4 of him, Savio/Marmoush/Kudus with Fernandes and Gray arriving a little later in the box could be worth it (I think we'd see the best of Marmoush here too, not as a traditional 10 per se but more a deep sitting off the shoulder second striker who takes full advantage of the space Solanke creates).

One thing with Brobbey is he certainly could not give a FF about me, you, anything. He's gonna 'Brobbey' and that's just how it is!

I think we need to stop with the Solanke off form talk, he's definitely not fit but he's also just not a very good player - one good PL season and has regressed to his mean. Even when he gets back to full fitness my expectations are low.

This bugs me so much, it’s the same as Gray missing the pass to Tel against Liverpool. The kind of moment that is over in a flash and so gets under discussed but it really is a horrendous action and a player of Marmoush’s quality should be doing so much better there.

The quality of the league is so high now and it’s so hard to create clear clear chances. Something like this should be an unlock in the game. Instead it’s nothing. Maddening.

Fair, but Alli has made something difficult look ridiculously easy, including the finish. The whole thing is world class level with that goal

We need a GOALSCORER. Brobbey scored FOUR goals in 30 games in his last season at Ajax. He got 7 in 31 for Sunderland last season. He's not a goalscorer.

Perhaps not prolific, but he is certainly someone who our other 'goalscorers' can play off. Always is a handful for even the strongest defences it seems

I think this was a slightly easier pass to control. It was hit with way less pace, more back spin and from a shorter distance. The Marmoush one comes from far away and he needs to judge a hell of a lot to get it right. Dele took the right kind of touch to soften the pass, I don't think that touch was an option for Marmoush.
