2 years of losing for the players already here plus the new guys have sadly inherited that weight of expectation.

Like you say after the 2nd goal all of our energy totally dissipated. You could see it when we were defending, the numbers looked light as the forwards weren't making those defensive cover runs anymore.

Definetly not panic stations for me but he is going to have to turn it around soon otherwise the confidence and knowledge of the past 2 seasons will became a self fulfilling prophecy this term again.
 
The mental weakness in the team when it comes to concentrating and sticking to jobs is shocking. This is including his signings. Hecke, Tonali, Robbo, Savio, and Marmoush are his signings and they don't seem to be elevating us. Kudus and Bentancur were the best players on the pitch.

Solanke needs to be dropped. He isn't good enough. We should be 3-0 at half time and it wasn't due to Solanke

Danso would have dealt with the second goal

Fernandes
Bentancur/Tonali

Kudus
Maddison
Savio

Marmoush

On paper that still looks a really good side to me.

This. Imagine seeing two centre backs totally fluff their lines and somehow Jackson is wriggling away with the ball. He got a finger tip to the shot but Jackson just got his shot off quickly and he couldn't react better. But two defenders fcuked that up

Cos we didn't buy a striker or RB and nobody saw it going wrong with Rich. Who plays instead of Dom?
Most of us wanted Dom and Rich replaced last season......

Thats the side that should have started imo. Savio on the right isn't going to work, Fernandes as a 10 doesn't work and we need an AM on the pitch so that has to be Maddison even if he prefers the idea of Kulu.
 
Five games in. We had a hatful of chances, their keeper made some very good saves. Players making runs, players now finding them, some of our usual lackadaisical defending. We were forced to make an early change. I was certain we were scoring today. Yet we go down against the run of play. Narrow offside, goal disallowed. Then another Worldy in the top corner. We did however make the changes and they worked. We score two and at least shup up the boring commentators desperate to give a goal as an OG to suit their narrative. We should have been at the very least a couple up. It doesn't feel like but it is definitely another small improvement.
 
Good wishes to all those still able to scrape up some positivity. I'm not one of them. 5 games or 50 games in, I think we're fudged and I fully expect us to be in a relegation fight again and even more likely to actually go down than last season. I had a bad feeling about RDZ from the start but yet again I listened to all the people who went on about what a great manager he is. Same as I listened to those who with a straight face claimed that Ange could be a successor to Pep. Like Ange, I think RDZ is yet another flimflam merchant; long on explanations and excuses, short on results. And like his predecessors, I don't want to hear anything he's got to say or even watch his team play until we see some actual delivery on the pitch (and I don't mean taking a jewellers eyepiece to every game to try to locate a slight improvement in some tiny element in the morass of yet another defeat).

Of course I fervently hope to be proved wrong. I usually am wrong when it comes to football. And I'll hold up my hands and say it when RDZ produces the sort of side we all hope to see (but I won't hold my breath). Eddie Howe anyone?
