***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa***, PL, Sat 19th Sept 2026

Poor, poor result and was disappointed with the reaction at 0-2.

It’ll come though. It really will. He has to get to end of October without any threat of his job. Thought Maddison really put the effort in out there that reignited some others who had given up

Robertson and Van Hecke probably need some time on the bench.
I really want to give RDZ a chance but we saw with Thomas Frank (and with Ange in the league) that once that negative spiral sets in it's very hard to come out of. Next 2 games are crucial. We cannot leave it like we did last season. This is where we need to be decisive rather than let the poor results continue.

Also agree with this.

Not a fan of Tonali and Bentancur together, need to play one of them with Fernandes imo. Then Savio on the left.

Yeah, I think Bentancur is a good player, but doesn't get the ball forward quick enough.

I have no idea why we won't play Savio on the left and Kudus on the right. Hopefully seeing it at the end of the game today will show it's an option.

Other wise we have no attack down the left.

I agree with this, the HT sub today was baffling as well.

Don't give up yet. It's been five games, there's been hickups and errors, but also improvement from last season. We were bound to still have issues after a prolonged period of mediocrity.

I think the worst thing that can happen now is fans turning on the team and manager (in the stadium). For now we need to back them and try to instil a bit of confidence in the players. We've broken the no goal curse and need to push on from that admittedly low bar.

Next up, get our first win. It could easily have been today. We are capable. We've shown we can create chances, keep clean sheets and score goals. It's not like it’s beyond us to win games, but we need to work hard and stay focused.

This is becoming increasingly worrying. I thought that Villa were utterly awful. They were played off the pitch for the vast majority of that game. Even so, yet again, we gave up poor, cheap goals and gave away the points. I bet their fans can’t believe their luck.

The refusal to put Richi on the squad is looking increasingly short sighted. Solanke did virtually nothing yet again: can Richi really do that badly?

I can’t remember the last time I celebrated a Spurs goal at home because we only seem to score them when the game is over and it’s totally pointless scoring.

We are in deep deep trouble.

I like the positivity - find myself drawn to it because my current feeling is not :-(...so I am going to hop onboard your train amigo :)
