Tielemans, Fernandes, Baleba, Mount, Mainoo, Santos. No matter how you compose that midfield , it doesn't scream balance and quality.

They have a number of good defensive midfielders and in Fernandes one of the best creative midfielders in the world. Tielemans also has a great eye for a pass and quality on the ball.

They will be fine

Someone has to actually run.

Pending Liverpool’s comings and goings, I think we go hard for Gakpo or settle with what we have. Seems like they’ve learnt getting your 3rd, 4th and 5th options typically just leaves you with deadweight to get rid of in a couple of years. They’ve also made it a clear priority to only bring in Premier League-proven players.

I agree that we need one, but with Marmoush I think we have enough in the squad to get to January and reassess. Thiago looks good but is he the right fit?
