Think the deals are to do with the sell on clause for Marmoush. Inlfate the Savinho price, lower the Marmoush one and stiff Frankfurt. I don't think the values reported are a indication of thier acutal worth. It's all for the accounts.

It will be odd to have got in 8 players who could all be legitimately considered as vying to start games. (I'm not including Dubravka here)
And all 9 transfers in would have been from other Premier League clubs.
I think it can only be this, just seen an article posted on Reddit where Savinho is listed as deal agreed at something like 93 million euros rising to 97. I think we will find we get Marmoush for a decent price and people (are already) will go mad about “How much for Savinho?!” Not realising that it will work out around 60-70 million on each, but will be presented as Savinho going for double what Marmoush has.

It is, and if I was spending my money Savinho wouldn’t be even in the same post code as that fee. If I’m honest, I’d go for Gakpo over Savinho if it was a straight choice.
However, as ridiculous as the fee looks (and we haven’t seen the Marmoush one yet) I think it will turn out that any fee we pay for Savinho won’t actually be the fee we pay for Savinho, because part of Marmoush fee will be hidden within it so City can avoid paying Frankfurt more.
The actual problem I think we’re causing ourselves is that people will very quickly forget why the fees were potentially arranged in such a way - so if Savinho comes in and doesn’t hit the ground running he’s going to have all sorts of stories and views on him of “how much?!” The media and fans saying he isn’t worth the money for the output, and it’s going to heap a ton of pressure on him really early on. Despite the fact that I do think it eh fees will just be accounting admin more than anything.
TBH I think Savinho is 40mill absolute tops given how the last few seasons have gone at City.
That’s unfortunate for Frankfurt then. Not a great way to behave if that’s what’s happening.
