I don’t think the reported price is connected to Romero’s ability. He was one of the players who reportedly told RDZ he wanted to leave in the summer and inspired the “help me stay up or drown with me” quotes. We’ve also signed JPvH and Senesi so clubs are fully aware that both he and we want to sell him. Given these circumstances, £40m is a reasonable price in my opinion.

Getting his 10m wages off the books means 40m is reasonable. He is well worth 40m though. Shame we can't get a bidding war going for him, but his reputation in the UK isn't great. He is seen as rash and a liability. Its an over exaggeration. In a good side he's less of liability too as there is less for him to mop up.

1 of them certainly isn't. I would expect a player to be overly positive publicly about their teammates. That's why I wouldn't really give it any real value, but as I said if people do then by all means do so.
