Transfer thread

Personally I would, however I don't see DeZerbi wanting a player of his profile?
I disagree IMO Foden is exactly the kind of player who would thrive in the 10 role in a RDZ team. Intelligent, intense, controls the tempo, quick short passing and scores goals and gets in the box. Ignore last season, he's game controller.

I doubt he leave City though for Tottenham. Might stay or go abroad. Quality Player.

He’s better than Simons.
I think GB was deliberately being a bit cheeky there - He's 3 years older than Simons and played in England all his life, I'd expect him to be better.

Must say I'm surprised that Foden is 26, assumed he was a bit younger - thought he might of kicked on by now. Maybe a change of scenery is what he needs, or maybe he will be more of a first team regular with the new manager there....

Foden isn’t the kind of player we need.

He’s great, but we need scrappers in our midfield.

He's not .. he's a 26 year old who's best season was 3 years ago. Foden, Mount, Sancho, Rashford, list goes on, a group of players that simply didn't push on from their 22/23 year old promise. Any sane top 6 club would stay far away.

Oh give it a rest, if we were to sign him, he would automatically become our best player.

I love him as a player myself and hope you're right!

No he wouldn't, don't see anyone lining up to buy him for 70M+ (which is mid tier rate at this point)

He is a phenomenally talented football. Putting him in the same convo as Mount and Sancho is a joke.

Who can't hold a starting spot in his club team, and got dropped from national team.

I'm not saying the guy is brick, but he isn't the player he was hyped to be 3 years ago, and he has not pushed on.

I would avoid

This screams of a player that will do amazingly well at City, but the next club that picks him up he will flop massively.

Won't be used to not playing with the best/will he be fired up to perform?

I think if the price and wages are reasonable then he is worth a punt, we are spending money but cannot afford to waste it at this juncture.

I’m on the fence with him, he must be like a wonder animal watching the World Cup without being present. I’d like any player of his quality has an ego he would have been thinking that he could have made an impact vs Argentina.

A loan to buy would get my juices going.
