Luka Vuskovic

I think his agent has pushed him on this. It wasn’t long ago that he was saying he wanted to stay on loan to play with his brother, wasn’t sure if he was ready for the Prem… now suddenly he wants to feel wanted and is upset to not be playing.. I hope for his sake his agent hasn’t pushed him in to an early set back of too much too soon which then sets his promising career on a different trajectory
He will be fine, he's a talented player who is at a better environment than our own club when it comes to developing players. No one was worried about him potentially playing here this season so it will be no different at Brighton.

Whether he goes onto live up to the hype of being potentially one of the very best in his position who knows, but he will have a good career and Brighton will put him on the right path....

I hope so, for his sake. I just hope his agent hasn’t pushed made him go a season too early, he has a bad debut season and it goes from there. Tbh, not our problem if that’s what happens, but as I say, for his sake.

He’s got a lot of talent, I’m sure he’ll be fine.

Is Vuskovic any good defensively?
Can only compare what I’ve seen and I’ll be honest, it’s about 5 games for JPVH and similar but German league for vuscivic
Vuscovic is better. Wins everything in the air, can pass and doesn’t lose the ball in duals
But he is slow… very slow
all IMO

Last year he played - in a back 3 - in a team which was defending most of the time. With a low block, pace is not paramount.

Will be very interesting to see how he does in the premier where pace is the be all and the end all.....

It’s a shame but all in all we have paid £12M for him with maybe another £1M in wages and we’re getting £50M back and some more if he does well. Credit to the club for getting him the right loans 3 years running.

If he does well and Spurs do well in the next couple of years, we could end up getting him back for a relatively small outlay too.
Who knows, maybe getting the regular Premier League gametime that we simply cannot give him this season will be exactly what he needs.
And if it's not then we will have sold at the right time.

I suspect that bridge had been burned bur who knows.

Hard to say, isn't it?
We've helped him build his career to the point it is currently at and have agreed to sell him now to a team that will play him. That's pretty positive for his career.
He's a young lad who is still learning and maturing as a person as well as a player. His opinions may develop quite a lot in the seasons to come.
And it's not as though he's been a bad apple, just expressed a very strong desire to play matches regularly - probably encouraged by his agent of course but it's a natural desire
