Carlos Baleba

There's a significant detail about Baleba that makes him a better fit than Palinha. He can take the ball on the turn. So important for a possession based team to help us break the lines. He's a significant better fit than Palinha. Palinha is very good but at his age and the fact we don't own him, I'd think Baleba is a no brainer if we are upgrading

He's 9 years younger as well, I think he'd be a good signing especially if he's a bit cheaper this summer.

Wharton is elite the ball
Dont think there is a better midfielder in the league at passing
The rest of Whartons game is solid but can get better
The best CM in the country IMO is andersen and he can’t pass as well as Wharton although is still under rated on that front

I don’t disagree but Baleba is still quality.

Can we not hack the Brighton scouting computer as they'll obviously turn up a decent replacement for Baleba...who in turn will go onto be an £80m+ player. Just like Baleba followed Caceido.
Just poach their entire recruitment department. Balebo for me though, is never an 80 mill player. More a Bissouma mk2, who has been very dissapointing in his time with us.

Never a fan of players downing tools either, which he did at Brighton.

Suggests an issue with his attitude.

He didn't actually play that much under RDZ at Brighton.

You have to be willing to play them, and your club goals has to be ok with the in season costs of that (if Europe is just a bonus vs. you expect to play)

Everyone is getting confused with a player 2 years later, if we played Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Vuskovic every game for two seasons, they would be all like how people see Brighton players.

Brighton owner ought to be best paid in the league. Excellent at the moneyball stuff. Also has shares in a few clubs overseas.

4 years later, Richy has gone backwards...

What are you smoking? Richie is doing very similar numbers than what he has his entire career, he hasn’t gone backwards at all.

It's often the case, it appears the player isn't' the guy you first saw. We see someone in highlights on TV and think he'll do but watching them in 20 odd games live your opinion changes. I keep reading Wharton is great but I've not seen that in the few games I've watched on TV.

But also, other than say 3 players in my life, I have not known a single player who has been on it absolutely every single time they have played

Excellent at limited results and it exposes the big issue in the league

Be smart, spend well, put right people in place, top 10 is easily achievable.

Doesn't scale to top 4, exponentially bigger problem that only stupid money really gets you
