Andy Robertson

We may have someone who puts legitimate pressure on referees during matches now on our behalf.
A lot of the areas where we seem to have fallen behind are more intangible ones rather than missing a specific player in a position. If this guy becomes a part of actually advancing the squad in terms of big game intelligence/management and focus while speaking with experience of playing for years at the top end of the PL and in Europe, that could be massive before even considering whether he gets a huge amount of game time
 
Not sure about this one, but he's free and will be relatively cheap

RDZ likes a few older heads in the changing room and obviously thinks we were missing it as had Maddison/davies around the first team in the last few weeks.

Because they're talking about his quality over all the years he has been there, not where he is at now.

Son is many people's favourite player here, that doesn't change the fact his levels had dropped a lot over the past couple of years - it's natural.

If RDZ wants him for whatever reason that's fine, but he was poor last season. If he's got more in the tank to give then happy days....

We have a relatively young squad with not many trophies between them. Getting in an experienced player who's won everything at club level on a free could be invaluable.

I take your points though with the Son comparisons.

Im not arguing with the theory of experience and like I say if RDZ wants him fine.

My only concern is on the pitch - Udogie is injury prone, and I don't trust Robertson to be relied upon consistently and im assuming if he comes Souza would be loaned out. However with no Europe hopefully it works, and hopefully Robertson goes up a level from last season and that it's just a case of him stagnating being at the same place for so long...

We have 8 CBs on the books, and seemingly want to buy more. I wouldn't be surprised to see Udogie/Robertson/VDV in the LB role, which is enough cover

I would absolutely trust Robertson to be relied upon consistently. I'd trust him to be more consistent and effective than Udogie and probably take over as first choice

Robertsons pace has dropped off badly this season. Liverpool fans were complaining his legs had gone last year, another year and its not going to be better. It looks like its happening so fair play, but honestly, we are getting the dog years
