Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

His win ratio doesn’t fill me with much confidence but the caveat is that he will have the biggest budget to work with. But this is spurs, we will find out if they are actually going to give him the keys to the place or only the porch.
and also the best set of players

Interestingly having looked yesterday, beyond the "good coach, good rep" there isn't else much there to warm the roosterles of hope. All on their own merit and all that, so lets see how he does, but he doesn't seem to fit in any category of coach we usually go for, maybe thats a good thing

Interesting note (which could lead to nothing)

Sandro used to play under De Zerbi toward the end of his career and credits him as an excellent coach. In recent days on social media Sandro has been posting videos of him walking round his house and it’s covered in photos of him in his Spurs days, today he has posted a video of him boarding a plane for London and then a bit later, driving in London too.

Coaching staff?

I think it's already been reported that Sandro is potentially joining as coach.

He would be a good character to have around the place and seems to be a proper Spurs man so a good move if it happens

If you find yourself on the spectrum of ‘RDZ’s comments make me uneasy’ to ‘I will not support the club whilst he’s manager’, perhaps a good way to protest is by donating to a charity that supports women who experience violence.

I chose Solace, which is said to be London’s largest domestic abuse and sexual violence charity and gave £25.

I hope so, he does generally seem a good bloke who would drive players on but could do the good old arm round the shoulder too.

In a prefect world yes. But we aren't in that position, nor anywhere near it.

Third time's the charm...please name one available manager who you feel confident would implement a progressive system and develop young players while already having PL experience and is available with a track record of sustained top-level success?
It would be a gamble, but that's pretty much the case whoever comes in, but for me there are only a few I can think of that could be able to implement such culture here. And note, I would not bring either in now. They're not miracle men that come in and rescue teams from relegation. It would have to be before the start of a new season, as a long term strategy, as they're methods would take time to implement, and it's Kjetil Knutsen of Bodø/Glimt or Karl Aksum of Mjällby. Preferably both, with Aksum as assistant coach.

I really like Refuge too: https://refuge.org.uk/

“I’m sorry if this offended anyone’s feelings. . .”

“I have a daughter . . .”

Two of the worst things you can do in these circumstances, the non-apology apology with a conditional “if”, and demanding brownie points for having a female relative.

Unbelievable that the club can’t afford and enforce better PR advice. All he had to do was say sorry as if he meant it.

I was just typing the same thing about the “if” and the fact that it ought to have been scripted by our PR team that he did not say that.

“I am sorry for the distress and offence my comments caused”. Job done. (Kind of).

I hope our PR team are more on the ball for his first press conference as it’s going to come up again.
