Richarlison

We

We need a significant investment, and also to make money from sales of players before we can start thinking about top four again. We need a new keeper, possibly two, another left back if Udogie can't get and stay fit, a far more balanced midfield and a left sided forward to compete with Tel. All of that is probably as important as a forward, bar the fact that Muani is very unlikely to stay so we need to replace the body there, if not the goals.
Richarlison has shown that if the team can create decent opportunities he will get himself into scoring positions with a really high frequency and get the ball in the net with a good frequency.

If we stay up I'd want to be really confident about who we're replacing him with before looking to sell him. Like really fudging confident.

It's not like signing top level strikers is easy to do.

To think it was only a few months ago that ENIC were swelling our transfer coffers with their £100m "investment" which combined with the cachet of being CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE would transform us into being a force to be reckoned with again.

Instead, 2 managers and another injury crises later, the rebuild is looking even more painful than ever!

Wish that the Isak transfer saga hadn't dragged on for so long, then maybe we could've snagged Ekitike who was great against us in Europa last season and has taken to PL like a duck to water.

I have to wonder if we'd actually have been able to create enough chances for him!

Yeah, without Maddison and Kulusevski plus Simons still finding his feet the horseshoe of death might've made Ekitike's settling in period rougher but (unlike with Brazil nowadays) to try and get a starting place for France's World Cup team you have to be an exceptional player which i believe Hugo is going to be.

And, as we've seen with Sonny & Kane, such attackers can elevate the entire team plus have the benefit of attracting elite managers who want the opportunity to coach (potentially) world class talents.

I agree, he is a hell of a player. I mean, we circled him for ages...reminds me of Doue, which must be one of our biggest scouting gaffes in years (not signing him)
