Transfer thread

I've met him on the pre season tour in hong kong, a really good bloke and he has done the depths as we all have as a Spurs fan

At times we all FEEL (in joke) low with how the club is performing, but I've been a supporter since 1957 and have only seen us relegated once, a far better record than during my Dads' time when we were a 2nd division team.
We are much luckier than most fans who turn up regularly to see their club locked in the lower level of the EFL with little hope of star players, trophies or glory.

Dragon to Palace on loan would be a logical move if we are looking to offload him
We can see if he can perform in the PL for 5 months and Palace need a CB

And the day we loan him out, VDV will get injured and Romero will get a 3 match ban and we will be starting Gray/Davies in CB.

There is no upside to loaning/selling Dragusin in this window, the coaching staff and past performances need to be enough to know if he's worth keeping, if not, sell in summer.

I don't know them personally but We Are Tottenham TV and Chris Cowlin been on the last few tours to Asia (Singapore/Bangkok, Tokyo/Seoul, Hong Kong) and they were all lovely people. The trouble is they're so beholden to the algorithm they need to be constantly churning out content. Sadly the content that resonates the most is the click bait-y stuff, so they look like tossers and end up winding up half of the fanbase.

I've mentioned on here before that Spurs Web wanted to use my data (thfcdb.com) on their site, which I was very open to. They get loads of traffic. Then on New Years Eve 2024 they put out an article from a random Turkish source about Ange being replaced: https://www.spurs-web.com/spurs-new...agreed-to-replace-ange-postecoglou-spurs-job/

fudging Spurs fans actively contributing to the negative atmosphere at the club. Promptly told them to do one and stopped sharing my data. I'm not going to be part of that utter garbage.

Especially if they are over egging it to farm engagement
I have no reason to doubt (also no personal evidence) that these guys are ok. But you don't bite the hand that feeds you, so they play nice.

Following on from my other post... It makes me wonder if any of these guys ever start questioning whether they're being true to themselves.... Or are they in too deep?

Yes, it was fun to begin with BUT you now have to churn it out, a slave to the algorithm, looking for (generally) nonsense to spew...it's so soul destroying.

This is the noise, clubs, managers and players all complain about. (SMedia is way bigger than the Sun,Mirror etc these days)
Most of what they 'report' on ... didn't happen, wasn't going to happen, or wasn't a thing in the first place. Almost always negative gonads.

So they become part of the problem, subconsciously self harming.

And what's bizarre... I'd say, to a man, they would all say they love this club.
Where are the morals, principles to back away when it becomes unprogressive/insincere/damaging.
The fact of earning a coin should NEVER take precedence when it comes to something you truly love.

It makes me wonder with any of them whether it was exciting and a buzz commenting and 'reporting' on Spurs?...then you start getting a following, then you start earning some money from it, then you realize engagement makes you more money, then you start being a 'talkSport' for Tottenham, then you sell your soul, then you become a grifter.

I think that is exactly the trajectory...

How far along that trajectory is Milo? 😉

E.g. Billy Thorpe, the mouthpiece of ChangeForTottenham, who purports to speak for 'Spurs fans'.

Tbf him and Sandro were the best CM partnership in the league under AVB at the start.. he just got the brunt of the blame at the end of AVB’s reign for the turgid style. It took a while for his reputation to recover and for Poch to put him back in to his best position again.

If you look at that 12/13 season there is a period where Dembele gets injured and the team wins 1 game in 6. That was the only period of dodgy form during that season where we missed out on top 4 by a point and 3rd by only 2 points.

I agree about a loan. But if we could get £30m cash now to invest in a LW, then we probably should. With no domestic cup games, we've got ample cover with Danso and Davies (Dorrington is also back at present).

Yeah it’s a great point. In Hong Kong last year I definitely noticed one of the ‘creators’ and felt a bit sorry for him. We’d go off to get a beer and he’d say “I’ll join you as soon as I get this footage” and then never make it. Or join us and then spend the whole time uploading stuff.

It becomes a job that likely doesn’t pay all that well, and that absolutely has to affect how you view Spurs.

That said, he had stories on the other side about the abuse he gets. “I bet the clubs paying to fly you out to Hong Kong!” Etc. I suppose that has just as much an affect on how you view Spurs too.

All in all…it looked and sounded like an absolute ballache.
